Here are a few pictures from our day trip to
Whidbey Island!
The kids thought the ferry ride was pretty cool - although it is a short ride, that was probably better to keep their interest going. We didn't really know where we were headed so we started driving and ended up at Fort Casey which turned out to be a lot of fun. You can sort of see in this picture below, the area you can walk through and explore. Unfortunately they were doing construction on the area that has the "big guns" as Griff says. We will have to go back when they are done. Then we went down to the beach and the last picture here is Emma holding a tiny dead crab. Griff insisted on putting it back in the water when we were done with it! Then our camera died - of course - so we did not take any pictures in Langley. There is not a whole lot to see there - but they had fun eating ice cream! All in all it was a very fun day!
Here are a few pictures from our trip to Leavenworth for Mother's Day. The kids had a great time at Grandma "Lawa" and Keith's new house. They loved going down to the river and throwing rocks in. They also got to mini golf for the first time and after that we took them to feed and pet some animals. It was a great day and as always our visit went by too fast.
